Open Water Electronics was built on three decades of hands-on marine electronics experience. Our founder, Jimmy Romero, has spent 30 years working in sales, service, and project management across the full spectrum of marine electronics — from Garmin chartplotters and Furuno radar systems to KVH satellite TV, SSB communications, and full vessel network integration.
Based in South Florida and serving boaters from the Keys to the Treasure Coast, Jimmy holds NMEA and NMEA 2000 network certifications and a TWIC Card for commercial vessel access. He has personally installed and commissioned thousands of marine electronics systems aboard everything from center consoles to mega-yachts.
